Help customers in discovering preferred activity

As I referred back to the early interview, customers expect to get a sense of the overall experience before participating RC Jet events. They want to see aerial displays, range of models as well as information about the event itself, such as location, date, theme and even special guest. It helps them to connect with the community, build interest and sequentially foster engagement of upcoming events.

To validated these ideas, we did our first iteration. But we soon realize while having detailed information and diversity of event photos greatly help customers know more about our community, they easily get lost in the overloaded content. In order to give costumers a strong sense of clarity and control, we categorize content into horizontal carousels. So they not only can get overview of events but also quickly find specific types of activities that interest them. Additionally, we added a transition button for easy switching between upcoming and past events to enhance customer participation.
EVENT CALENAR

Redesign Calendar for an more Intuitive Experience

In the Event Calendar, we apply the same design principle to evoke the desired emotion in users. Our aim is to maximize the impact of images using a pin-board layout. However, unlike the gallery section, the main purpose of the calendar is to keep customers informed about upcoming events. This enables them to plan their participation easily. Therefore, we emphasize the date in the visual hierarchy to facilitate scanning. Additionally, in the final version, we have incorporated a digital calendar to assist customers in visualizing their schedule and tracking weather conditions for flying.
LANDING PAGE

Guide customers to their desired destinations

Upon all the iteration and feedback. We created our landing Page. It is a centralized experience made to bridge the gap between gallery and calendar, allowing customer to easily navigate without having to switch between different platforms and web Pages. Customers can explore their desired content in the RC Jet Gallery and then directly access information about related upcoming events. This integration significantly aids customers in gaining a concise understanding of our club activities and streamlines their engagement process.

To craft a customer-centric club experience that transcends mere information provision, our focus has led us to establish pages and features that are fundamental in shaping our club's identity. These components not only serve as a means to convey essential details but also stand as pillars in building trust, fostering engagement, and nurturing the growth of our club. They play an integral role in facilitating visitors' understanding of our organization, eliminating confusion and barrier on their rc journey, and guiding them toward membership options that align seamlessly with their unique interests.

Reveal conflict stages in existing service journey

The current service journey can be demonstrating like this: When a product malfunctions or gets damaged, customers typically embark on the troubleshooting process independently. They heavily rely on online resources and product manuals, resulting in a time-consuming and often painful experience. This holds true even for experienced RC pilots.

Consequently, costumers would prefer to contact us directly or seek service online. While the majority of customer inquiries are repetitive and can be resolved remotely with provided instructions, there are instances of complex individual cases. if customers can’t accurately articulate the problem, it will take lots of effect for staff members to offer the best solution. This process often lead to customer frustration when they receive irrelevant suggestions after long commutation. And the further diagnose are usually take weeks when it takes account with shipping.
FORUM VS SELF-DIAGNOSIS

Select the Optimal Approach for customer support

If customers can solve the most of problems at the early stage, it can relieve the formation of downstream problematic service request and liberate additional labor for both customers and staffs. To alleviate the troubleshooting burden, one viable option that matches current customer habit is to establish a community forum. The User-generated content can effectively resolve problems based on their experience, creating a repository of knowledge that benefits the community over time. However, running a vibrant community forum would require active moderation and technical maintenance. The team recognizes its long-term value, but we need a more convenient and feasible approach in the early stage.

Therefore, the self-diagnosis system would be the best course of action. It provides immediate suggestions and structured process based on inputs, helping customers troubleshoot common issues efficiently and independently.  Although it can’t address unique circumstances in individual cases or handle complex problems, Global Jet has accumulated an amount of FAQ, feedbacks and video content in the past years, so we can build a system that offers accurate solutions and ensure a smoother service journey.

To ensure the accessibility of our RC Guides to a wider audience, It’s curial for us to focus on an inclusive approach, allowing all customers can progress in their learning at their own pace, in accordance with their skill level and specific needs.

In our design, we start with the fundamentals of RC. It encompasses a range of topics from selecting the first RC jet to providing tips on maintenance after the flight. The objective is to provide foundational knowledge, empowering them with confidence to start their RC jet journey. And for our experienced pilots and experts, we also prepare advanced techniques and customization to help them expand their knowledge base, refine their skills, and stay at the forefront of the hobby.
